(Detail) 23 July: If serious notice of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the threats being hurled on Syria and Iran did not take, all countries could affected: Agha Moosavi addresses TNFJ high- level meet (Detail)
RAWALPINDI, July 24: The two-day high level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan, presided over by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi ended with some resolutions adopted by the participants. According to Central Spokesman of the Tehreek, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, the participants of the meeting through a resolution strongly condemned the continued incidents of terrorism in the country, particularly the recent Karachi incident and said Manmohan Singh or President Bush would not come here themselves rather they would shatter peace in Pakistan through their agents. The resolution called upon President Pervez Musharraf to ensure effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act so as to root out terrorism from the country and in this connection take strict notice of the participation of banned groups in political activities with new names, their inclusion in political alliances and their presence on all government and opposition forums and the media because encouraging the banned groups is tantamount to enmity with the nation and the country. The resolution demanded immediate release of the innocent people arrested after incidents of terrorism from different cities including Karachi and form a broad-based Tribunal to probe all incidents of terrorism.
Another resolution made it clear that Pakistan is the result of combined sacrifices and joint struggle of all schools of thought therefore giving rights to all on the basis of equality is necessary for the stability and development of the country. The resolution demanded implementation of May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement for solution of long-standing problems of the Maktab-e-Tashih that include implementation of Fiqh-e-Jafariya for Shias in Pakistan, issuance of separate Deenyat for Shia students, setting up of Shia Faculty in all Islami Universities of Pakistan, effective representation on the basis of equality in Islamic Research Institute, higher courts, media, and Council of Islamic Ideology, appointment of Shia judge in Federal Shariat Court, end to all uncalled for restrictions in connection with Azadari, setting up of a separate Shia Auqaf Board, revoking of Article 30(3) of Police Act 1861, and immediate steps for the reconstruction of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Muallah.
Another resolution while condemning Israeli aggression against Lebanon, expressed solidarity with the oppressed and have-nots of Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir and Palestine and strongly demanded from United Nations, ICC and other international organisations to break their criminal silence and adopt a correct policy by getting Afghanistan and Iraq vacated by allied forces, ousting Israeli forces from Lebanon and Palestine by declaring her aggressive, get the Palestine issue resolved under Camp David and Oslo agreements, and get the Kashmir issue resolved under the United Nations resolutions keeping to the desire of the people living there. The resolution also called upon the international organisations and the Pope John Paul to play their role in saving the humanity from destruction. The resolution called upon American President Bush to be wise and do something good at the end of his presidential tenure because there is a saying of the Maula-e-Kainaat Hazrat Ali (A.S.) that goes that keep a contact with people in the world in a manner that they remain excited to meet you and shed tears when you leave them. The resolution said that like it is obligatory to help the oppressed, similarly the help of the oppressor is to stop him from oppression so that he may seek pardon. The resolution strongly condemned threats hurled against Iran and Syria and called upon the Muslim States to adopt a wise policy in the present circumstances and avoid inviting trouble so that no one could see towards us with bad intentions. Yet another resolution expressing concern on the decision of Ministries of Interior, Foreign and Religious Affairs declaring permission letters a must, for those Pakistani Zaireen who desire to go to Iran has demanded to facilitate the Zaireen intending to go to Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. The meeting decided to observe Ashra-e-Muwaddat from 1-10 Rajab-ul-Murajjab and Universal Jashan-e-Murtaza from 11-13 Rajab-ul-Murajjab. In this connection Assad Ali Hasni and Ammar Yassir Alvi have been appointed Conveners while Saqlain Haider and Adeel Sarwar Haideri have been appointed as Secretary, respectively. The participants of the meeting demanded from the government to take effective steps to improve law and order situation during the programmes of Rajab-ul-Murajjab while the people should themselves remain fully alert and the media including that of electronic media should give full coverage to these programmes.
RAWALPINDI, July 23: The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has said that if Muslim World did not take serious notice of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the threats being hurled on Syria and Iran and did not extract a strong and combined strategy by forming a “United Front of all Muslim and oppressed States” then all countries could become affected. He stated this while delivering presidential address at the beginning of two-day high level meeting of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan. Delegates from all the four provinces including Federal Capital Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas participated in the meeting that reviewed the latest national and international situation and organisational matters. Agha Moosavi said that conspiracies are being hatched against the Muslim Ummah under the international agenda; the colonial powers desire to snub the oppressed and Muslim States and seize their resources and this situation would continue until the Islamic World starts banking on Allah and lay out a strong strategy. He said that the whole Islamic World had condemned the New York incident and Pakistan, through the wisdom of President Pervez Musharraf, had played front line role against terrorism. He said Pakistan being an atomic power is a mole in the eyes of anti-Islam forces, therefore, pressure is being raised against Pakistan on one pretext or the other and it would have to use extraordinary seriousness and wisdom to tackle this situation. Agha Moosavi said that Muslim States are binding to avoid issuing emotional statements and doing any such activity that could be used by the anti-Islamic forces to interfere in and attack on Muslim States. He said the worshippers of cow and calf in South Asia and Middle East i.e. Hindus and Zionists were out to shatter peace in these regions on the desire of international chief of the colonial powers. Therefore, he said, the Muslim States should avoid inviting trouble themselves in the best large interest and protection of the Islamic World.
The TNFJ chief said the TNFJ point of view that a terrorist keeps no religion, Maktab or a country but he is only a terrorist and should be seen and tackled in the same context is being repeated on the international level today. He made it clear that Islam preaches peace that strongly condemns all types of terrorism and extremism. He said the elements who cry hoarse have increased the difficulties of the Islamic World as a result of which chief of the colonial powers first destructed Afghanistan with the help of allied forces and then shattered Iraq to the extent that they did not even spare the holy places. They did not stop here and get the blasphemous images of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) published. Now, he said, Israel has attacked Lebanon on the garb of abduction of two Israeli army men but neither the OIC has summoned its emergent meeting nor Arab League has done anything. The United Nations too has done nothing to stop Israeli aggression. He said India herself patronised Mumbai attacks so as to accuse Pakistan on this pretext. The Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Pakistan Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that colonial powers do not want to see South Asia and the Middle East become a hub of peace and in this situation the Islamic World would have to exercise wisdom. He said the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-i-Jafariya by observing the Israeli aggression against Lebanon as Youm-e-Wahdat has proved that we condemn oppression and support the oppressed everywhere. He said from amongst 57 Muslim States, Pakistan is the only ideological State that came into being in the name of Islam and not on the basis on any sect or Maktab the prove of which is that the official religion of the State, according to the 1973 Constitution, is Islam. He said the TNFJ has the honour that it did not allow Pakistan become a sectarian State and would thwart any conspiracy aimed at implementing the one’s belief on the other. Strongly condemning the ban of teacher and student organisation by the Government of Sindh, he said no restriction could be put on any debate, writing, beliefs and ideologies according to the Constitution rather any such activity would be unconstitutional and undemocratic which would benefit the enemies of democracy. Therefore, he added, already settled issues should not be brought in the limelight. He called upon the political forces to avoid the politics of jalao-gherao and arson and work by remaining within the constitutional boundaries so as to strengthen and stabilise the democratic institutions and turn the motherland Pakistan into a hub of peace.
